Sketch Saturday with Paper Shelter

Hi Everyone today I have an image from the Paper Shelter colored with Copics, and then used for the sketch this week. Her name is Rose and is available here: I have used papers from Colorbok called Light Bright Designer Papers and have cut out the butterfly using an unbranded die.

Merry Christmas with My Besties img719

Hi Everyone, I have used My Besties IMG719 for my card today I have colored it with copics, then cut out with an unbranded stitch die, I have used some trees and a banner on my card which were also unbranded dies, and to finish off added some stickles to the trees.

Besties Canvas

Hi Everyone, here to share a canvas project I have made. I started with the image which I have colored in Copic markers

After coloring her up I fussy cut her out and decided to make a canvas project with her

I started off with a 9 by 7 inch white canvas board I got from the dollar store

I added some texture to it by stenciling all over using modeling paste and letting it set to dry. 

I then decided to use my spray inks to color the canvas, I used a lilac, aqua and wanted some green but only had a light green so I made my own by using an ink refill and some alcohol in a spritzer

works wonders. so did the green this is how the canvas background turned out. 

I then cut out a frame for my image out of watercolor paper, I added some ground espresso distress ink to it, and then watered it down for the color to go all over, then did it again to get full coverage. 

I decided It didn't look old or like metal so I added some taupe frantage to it and then some gold embossing powder in spots and then heat set and then went over it a bit with the ground espresso, this is the frame and how it turned out

I placed it on the canvas

and then added some other stuff to the canvas to see how it would look 

I was liking the layout but the chain was silver and so was a couple of the gears, so I used some gold embossing powder on them and heat set to turn them gold

I then let it set a while as gold elements on the canvas and decided I wanted a bit more of the pink so I took everything off the canvas again and added some pink spray to it, just a touch in the center area

I then put all back on the canvas and was pleased with the effect with the exception of the white areas around the image, so I took my Cool Grey 1 marker and went over those areas and added some more color to the glass of the glasses  as well. I then used some Gel medium to attach all to the canvas

Sweet Valentine img955

Hi Everyone, here today to share my card for the Color it Create it Show it off Challenge, I am using img955 from the My Besties Shop, I have colored her with copics, cut her out using a stitched rectangle die, have embossed the background of the card with a we are memory keepers embossing folder, I have popped her up added an edge die, some flowers , a butterfly and sentiment.

I have used a number of different papers from the My Besties collection in the album, which are pictured below and linked by clicking on the picture. I've selected different papers from the collections to use in the album as they all have a vintage feel to them they worked well together.

Sketch Saturday Paper Nest Dolls

Hi Everyone, this week at Sketch Saturday we have this sketch and we could use any image from any sponsor as this is our 500th sketch and we have a celebration happening. I have chosen to use an image from Paper Nest Dolls called Avery with Hearts. I have colored her with copics and have used papers from the Colorbok Light Bright Designer collection. and some gemstone hearts for the embellishments.

Merry Christmas with Sandra Caldwell

Milk Carton treat boxes

Hi Everyone, I'm here to share a project I have made using these adorable milk carton treat boxes that you can get at the My Besties Shop here:

When printed cut out and assembled they look like this other than the metal clip which I added to the top.

I also decided to make a holder for them and I added a tag using one of the adorable monsters which you can find here, they are great as you can  resize them to make them small enough for tags, I have colored this little gal with  Copics, for the red I used R27,29, 39, 59. for the pink I used RV06,04,02,00. I then cut it out using a banner die and cut another one a bit bigger mounted it and added an eyelet and twine to finish it off, for the box I made it and added some lace tape.

Violet Valentine

Hi Everyone, I have a new project today for our new challenge over at Color it Create it Show it off.
I have used the image Violet Valentine from My Besties and have made a treat box card combo. I've used the instructions for the treatbox over at Splitcoast Stampers . I have also used some gorgeous papers called All my Heart . I've cut an oval and fussy cut her to put on top, I've colored her with Copics
