For my card this week at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, I have made my card using the Mother of Pearl Technique. It's very simple. Using glossy card stock, I die cut the butterflies, and then I stamped them with the image from the Elements of Style stamp set, one of my favorite sets that retired. I then colored it in with my Promarkers using Blossom, Dusky Rose, and Olive. After that is done, then use a piece of Saran Wrap and some White Shimmer paint and dab over the image, it gives it an old fashioned mother of pearl look. I then distressed it some with the antique linen distress ink by Ranger, I used stamens for the antennae of the butterflies.
For the card it self, I have used Pink Pirouette card base, added a layer of Chocolate Chip which I embossed with a folder from Provocraft, called floral screen, then added some white bakers twine with a bow, The sentiment is from the Flight of a Butterfly stamp set.
Thanks for looking Cindy
