Friendship

This is my card for this weeks Friendship challenge at Come and Get It. We are sponsored this week by Eureka Stamps. Because the image is so intricate, I decided to keep the card a simple layout, I enjoyed coloring it, but found it a challenge for sure. I used promarkers to color the image, and have used color dots, a sentiment from the Six Sided Sampler Set from Stampin Up and the Sweet Sorbet paper that had been available during Sale-A-Bration. Anyway thanks for looking.

Just Believe

This is my card for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge this week. I was away last week when I was supposed to do one on vacation, which I had a wonderful time with family up in Peterborough and Buckhorn Sands. For my card I have used the Just Believe Set from Stampin Up. I inked the stamp in Old Olive Ink, then wiped off the flowers with a qtip and stamp cleaner, and colored them with my marker. I then stamped it on Very Vanilla, I used Rose Red Ribbon that I have had forever, or at least it seems that long. I then used the Apothecary framelits for the piece on the left, I thought it was to plain so I accented it with some paper piercing. and to finish the card off added perfect plum color dots and the sentiment.
Thanks for looking.

Vacation Time

Hi Everyone this is my DT make for our current challenge at Open Minded Crafting Fun Challenge, which is vacation time. I decided to do a layout for this challenge. I have used MDS to make the layout, and I've added some digital images from  one of our sponsors this week; Digital Delights called Holland Jan and Holland Mieke Sets. I used the girl and boy from the sets along with the word Holland and also the flag.  I hope to use some of these images along with others in the set for some of the other layouts I am going to do as well as for Birthday or Christmas cards that we send over to Holland for our family.  Our other sponsors are

As for information on the pictures themselves, the picture of myself and my husband Bill, we are at the North Sea at the beach, the weather was a bit cool, as it was in April, and a cloudy cool day. The windmill was a picture taken in the small town of Veere, which we visited while staying in Zeeland for our week long Honeymoon back in 2002.
So there are lots of prizes up for grabs, and we would love to visit your blog and check out your vacation related projects. Thanks for looking

Blossom and Butterfly

We at Come and Get It have a pretty color challenge for you,

We have a new color challenge for you at Come and Get It. Our Sponsors this week are The Paper Shelter, and Fitztown. I have used a butterfly image which I printed out and colored from Fitztown. I have also used a new stamp from Stampin Up called Blended Bloom. It's a great stamp if you are learning how to color with the new Blendabilities, or with Copics, or Promarkers, as they are all great alcohol markers and take practice in using. I have used the following colors: Daffodil Delight, Pink Carnation, Rose Pink, Blossom, Marina Mist, Certainly Celery, Sunflower, and Tulip, for making my card, this includes Promarkers, as well as Designer Paper, Card Stock and Ribbon. For my sentiment I have used the bitty banners stamp set from Stampin up, and used the Chalk Talk Framelits and tiny banner framelits as well.

He Loves Me

I remember as a young girl we would play the game he loves me he loves me not, wow, that was so many years ago, but I just thought this stamp from Wags and Whiskers just was the sweetest thing and a memory of many days ago. Our Challenge this week is Anything Goes, so come on over and enter the challenge.
For my card I have used Promarkers to color her, the bigz daisy die, which I cut out 2, then overlapped, added a yellow corduroy brad to the center. The ribbon is 3/8 in taffeta ribbon in plum, along with the color dots, which this time I wanted them raised off the page, so I used the bases that you can get separately for them. The sentiment is from the Short and Sweet Stamp Set

Christmas Critters

This week at Holly Jolly we have a Christmas Critters Challenge and we are sponsored by Oak Pond Creations, which I am using Kona's Candy Cane for my card. What a cute image. It was fun to color, but I was trying not to use only traditional colors. Only one problem I am finding with that is I don't own any designer paper that is non traditional colors for Christmas, so I may have to remedy that this year. Anyway I figured I could use this neutral background paper, which is in Pacific Point, from the Blueberry Crisp Designer Pack. I have used some other striped paper, but have no idea what paper it is from other than that it is Stampin Up, and from a number of years ago. The ribbon is the 1/4 in grosgrain stitched ribbon from Stampin Up, which just retired, and then the sentiment is from an old retired set called riveting. The final touch was the present brads which I purchased a year an a half ago when I was down in Iowa from the Hobby Lobby store. Anyway thats my card for this fortnight, I hope you like it and will join in the fun. I am away at the moment on holidays but will visit your blogs when I return. Thanks for stopping by.

New Design Team: Water Water Everywhere

Hi Everyone, This is my first card for a new design team that I have been selected for, called

Our theme is Water Water Everywhere, and we are sponsored by

For my card I am using an image called Daisy from Paper Pretties. I have stamped it on Whisper White card stock, then colored with my Promarkers, I stamped an additional image and cut out the daisy and popped it up. I then added some Baja Breeze Glass Glitter to the bottom of the fish bowl. the embossing folder i used is a Cuttlebug called Bubbles, and the paper is from the Berry Blossom DSP from Stampin Up, The sentiment came with the image, I printed it out then punched it with the windows label punch and mounted it on the designer label punch. The flowers are from my stash, they were white which I colored them with one of the same markers I used on the fish, and then put a corduroy brad in the center.
Thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to seeing your projects made for our challenges.
Have a great day and see you soon
